The Risks Of Systemic Yeast Infection
Systemic yeast infection, or systemic candidiasis, happens when
candida evolves from its usual state of yeast to become a sort of fungus invading the blood circulation,
liver and urinary tract. Also known as an "opportunistic" infection, it is a grave overgrowth condition where
Candida penetrates into the deeper body areas.
Compared to local candidiasis subtypes, systemic
yeast infection is a real challenge to identify and eradicate.
Three levels of yeast infection exist, ranked
according to severity:
1. Occasional candidiasis (for example, oral
thrush, Candida vaginal infection, male candidiasis), occurring at least once in a lifetime in three quarters of
the population, especially women and infants.
2. Chronic or recurring infection, possibly a
symptom of more critical problems such as a degraded immune system.
3. Systemic candidiasis, affecting the whole body
and not just one area to provoke symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, headaches from migraine, debilitation,
dizziness, sensory disorders, muscular pain, breathing disorders, gastrointestinal problems like oral Thrush,
diarrhea, constipation and rectal itching.
When the immune system does not keep Candida
growth in check in your body, the condition becomes one of systemic candidiasis. When Candida species, occurring
in a natural way in warm moist parts of the body (vagina, mouth and intestines), multiply without control, yeast
infections happen. Conditions favoring systemic candidiasis are when the immune system fails to keep control of
Candida and/or when there are high levels of sugar/acid or toxins in the intestinal
environment.
Serious systemic candidiasis may have a serious
effect on the well-being and daily activities of an individual. With systemic yeast infection happening, Candida
starts to penetrate all body parts and organs, including the digestive system, esophagus, respiratory system,
liver, eyes, skin and blood.
Moreover, different external factors can degrade
an existing systemic yeast infection. These include foods nourishing the yeast, antibiotics, contraceptive
pills, tight clothing and stress. There is no one cause for systemic candidiasis, which can be brought on by
different internal situations, including a fragile immune system, deficiency in white blood corpuscles
(granulocytopenia), an unhealthy diet and lifestyle, neglect of a local infection and the loss of benign
bacteria.
With this in mind, thinking about holistic
remedies for this medical condition may be the best course to take. Previously the assumption was that a
candidiasis was localized and could be removed with anti-fungal medication applied topically. Due to several
causes or factors or a group of conditions and circumstances, it is now widely understood that excessive yeast
multiplication in the body is the result of a deeper internal problem of balance.
An important point is that overall holistic
treatment is not the same as simple changes in diet. Nonetheless, certain foods (particularly sugars and refined
carbohydrates) nourish the yeast that is favored by high-sugar environments. Moreover, large amounts of
probiotics, vegetables (green ones in particular) and healthy fats (such as coconut oil and avocado) are
required to reconstitute a healthy intestinal flora. Although it may already be highly beneficial for systemic
yeast infection patients to cease eating candy, products made with flour and refined flour (examples include
glutinous grains, pasta, bread and cereals), as well as reducing dairy products, alcohol, fruit and soy products
(most of these contain anti-nutrients), this is only one part of the whole solution.
Dietary changes such as these can bring
alleviation immediately, but it is in combination with a complete program of holistic treatment for systemic
yeast infection (such as homeopathic cures, herbal remedies, changes in diet, lifestyle and detoxification) that
this becomes much more effective compared to most classical treatments that remain superficial for this
condition. It is the holistic approach that will resolve the hidden reason for systemic yeast
infection.
